IT之家 11 月 23 日消息，前苹果公司高管让・路易斯・加塞（Jean-Louis Gassee）近日表示，iPad 业务正在走下坡路。他认为 iPad 的高光时刻是在 2014 年，然后整体销量都在滑坡。而滑坡背后更重要的原因是，消费者不知道 iPad 能用来干什么。
他认为：“为了真正创造一个新的设备类别，平板设备必须更好地完成一些关键任务。他们必须在做一些真正重要的事情方面做得更好，让某些任务只有在平板形态上才能发挥最大价值，在笔记本和智能手机上都无法体现出来的价值”。
IT之家了解到，Gassee 认为很多人都是希望 iPad 像 Mac 那样工作，这让 iPad 应用场景变得越来越窄。不过苹果 CEO 库克则不赞同这个观点，他多次在公开场合强调：“iPad 最清楚地表达了我们对未来个人计算的看法”。
