Support is great. Feedback is even better.

"What do you think -- is this useful? Or perhaps X is better without all the clutter? 😅"

Hi ProductHunt!

I'm sure a lot of people have seen the recent changes on X/Twitter to remove text from links, (arguably) making them look better, but hurting visibility and clickthrough.

(If you haven't, take a quick break and read: https://mashable.com/article/elo...)

As someone who spends a worrying amount of time on X and doesn't like to see his readability diminished, I swung into action and built out "Show the Links". It's a drop-in improvement to let content creators on X publish links that still include their text content.

How does it work? It's kinda like a URL shortener, where you prefix the link you're posting with our URL. We dynamically generate a Twitter card image that includes both your base image, and an overlay of text and domain and so on. Super simple!

A quick example: https://twitter.com/showthelinks...

It's totally free to use on a showthe.link subdomain, but if you want a custom theme for your site and to use your own domain entirely there's a commercial white label option too.

There's a half-dozen themes to pick from already, and I'm adding in more soon. But I wanted to get v1 out ASAP because half my feed at the moment seems to be people complaining about this 😅

Looking forward to see what you all think! 🚀

@paul_hunkin clever! People should stop using X, but barring that, how accessible is this solution?
@chrismessina Super easy -- just prefix your usual link with our domain (or your domain, if you want a white label solution!), and I take care of the rest on my side.
