Hard Bricked 6T (No TWRP, OEM locked, MSM not working)

I had a similar situation, my bootloader was unlocked tho. Msmtool was stuck on "waiting for device" despite it being connected and recognized, what fixed it for me was using the fastboot ROMs. Honestly don't know what to tell you, but I'll watch the thread just in case someone figures it out

Allen, problem is solved. See post #18

It seems like a driver problem that your device was not fixed with msmdownload tool.

it was actually my charger, everything looked normal but the cable refused to send data. The r/w speed was far too low, tested it out today and switched chargers

If your bootloader is locked again, i think it is not possible to use Msn tool. I think the only way is to send it for repair if you can't boot the phone.

But maybe i'm wrong and someone else know the sollution.

Hard bricked or qulacomm crashdump mode. Drain battery until low battery warning does not show. This takes a couple days.

While you are waiting for battery to drain

Download

Download the latest OxygenOS from Oneplus

Ensuring all firmware partitions are consistent

go to linageos org, find your device, read the instructions to flash.

Download the zip file

copy-partitions-20220613-signed.zip (op6t) Mainly this zip file erases your phone.

After the low battery warning quits coming up, wait a couple hours and check again by pressing power button, if warning does not come up wait a day and then fully charge phone. You will have to shut it down when you first plug it in, and again when you get a small charge, should boot into fastboot.

After fully charged boot into fastboot, holding down volume up & down and power buttons. You can run the command, fastboot set_active other, then fastboot reboot bootloader, to change from boot a to boot b and vice-a-versa. Sometimes one boot is corrupt, you will know if device hangs and not reboot.

Flash TWRP img, probably won’t be able to reboot without going into crash dump mode. sideload the copy-partitions zip file.

Boot back into fastboot, flash again the TWRP img. Go to mount and check data and system to mount. Sideload OOS zip file. Reboot.
The only solution is to use smt mode inside msmdownloadtool, which will restore persist partition, but with some disadvantages.

Be aware that you WILL LOSE YOUR IMEIs and WIDEVINE L1, use it at your own risk.

If you decide to do it (remember you WILL LOSE YOUR IMEIs and WIDEVINE L1!) follow this:
1.- Run MSMDownloadTool.
2.- Click on Verify and wait till it says "MD5 Check OK!".
3.- Then click on SMT Mode.
4.- Then click on Start like you would normally do with upgrade mode.
5.- The you need to enter as password "te123" and select your phone's capacity.
6.- If it says something like "Port disabled by user", go to the top left corner and click on "SMT", "COM Setup" and check everything, then click on the left button, and retry steps 4-5.
7.- When the process finishes the phone won't reboot, so you'll need to hold VolumeUP+Power until it powers on, then wait around 5 minutes and your phone will be back to life!!
8.- If you have an IMEI backup, just follow this guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/guide-oneplus-6t-unlock-bootloader-t3851789) (I don't know if this is the correct way to post links)

I hope you get your phone fixed.

Mi OnePlus 6 shows Qualcomm crashdmp mode after flashing via msmTool. With any of it it fails and I can't access to the system nor the recovery, and obviously my bootloader is locked. Would you advise me to try this method?

You can't change active partition if your bootloader is locked

I'm not sure of your answer, I don't understand. When you are in fastboot mode run the command, fastboot reboot bootloader fastboot oem unlock. I can be wrong but these are the commands I used, worked for me.

The problem is when you run the msm download tool and restore the system, the bootloader gets relocked. Then you can't unlock it nor boot to/flash custom recovery, because you are required to enter to the system, do the basic setup and enable oem unlocking in developer settings. But if the system just doesn't boot you are screwed.

In this case you can't flash roms, can't boot to custom recovery, can't change the active partition, cant sideload...
