Seniors are now taking better advantage of discounts – but 50-somethings nab better deals than you'd think

  • As inflation soars, more older people are taking advantage of senior discounts offered at retail stores, restaurants, and more, the Washington Post reports.
  • Some 50-somethings have taken to TikTok to share that they're cashing in on savings offered by senior discounts.
  • Insider compiled a list of places that offer senior discounts to people starting their 50s.

Offering discounts builds loyalty, one marketing expert told the Post. "When businesses are offering that, it is a feeling of like, 'I'm part of this special group … I'm being recognized and being rewarded.'
