The details they're trying to hash out? Most likely how to spin it as not just another user-hostile feature that nobody asked for.

B) competition for any influencer on Instagram thus reducing their revenue and by extension the value of Instagram at all

C) still no reason to join the Metaverse

Of course Zucks is going to start jamming this tech into his various platforms, it's right up his alley of building souless, humanity-crushing crap. It's a great benchmark of where we are as a society that it's this guy in particular driving the direction of our cultural evolution. In a sane world there is no way we would intentionally put someone like Zuckerberg in charge of making these kinds of decisions that will profoundly impact literally billions of people. We're broken. I've been hearing this more and more places. I don't know what it's supposed to do for me as a user/visitor/client, but it's not doing whatever they think it is.
