经查，苹果已经正式将iPad mini 3列为 停产产品 （obsolete product）。
苹果解释， 停产产品是指发售已超过7年的产品，官方会停止对停产产品提供所有硬件服务，仅Mac笔记本例外。 因为授权服务商无法订购原厂配件，也就是一切官方付费或者免费的保修服务都无法享受了。
据悉，与停产产品经常一起出现的还有过时产品（Vintage Products），这是指发售超5年但未满7年的产品。
据悉，iPad mini 3发布于2014年，当时和iPad Air 2一起登场，它采用的是A7处理器。
