2022年底，渝厦高铁常德至益阳段、京唐城际铁路、京滨城际铁路宝坻至北辰段、弥蒙高铁、南崇高铁、中兰高铁、济莱高铁相继开通，还有成昆复线峨冕段、兴泉铁路清泉段、重庆东环铁路、济南枢纽黄东联络线等一系列普铁线路。
同时，还有多达18条高铁、3条普铁，以及重庆东站、西安东站、合肥派河港铁路物流基地等重点项目已经陆续开工建设。
