10月26日，华为常务董事、ICT基础设施业务管理委员会主任汪涛在2022全球移动宽带论坛上表示，
目前5.5G在标准、关键技术、物联能力三方面已取得关键进展，行业已进入新的发展阶段。
行业还要做到以下三个方面，才能加速迈向5.5G：
首先要做好标准准备， R18版本需兑现5.5G十倍能力提升的目标，实现2024年如期冻结；
其次要做好频谱准备， 充分利用Sub100GHz的频谱资源，为5.5G提供资源保障；
