Chinese Avatar company Huiye Technology secured tens of millions of RMB in the Pre-A+ round of financing led by GL Ventures, an early-stage investment arm of Hillhouse Capital. Founded in 2019, the company has developed an AI-generated content (AIGC) tool to support creators who do not yet have the ability to create virtual content completely on their own. It is expected to provide business-to-business services to companies that need to create avatars, which Huiye’s founder describes as “AI being as a Service.” The company has already launched the service to customers including BMW, Ant Financial, and Starmaker.
