I used to read blog posts when I initially started teaching myself UI/UX design to expand my knowledge about the design field.

Since I was new to the industry, designing was a marvel to me.

Every day I would read about three to four design articles to learn new skills, approaches, or fundamentals, how to acquire a job, what kinds of projects to design, and which online courses to enrol in.

Writing or blogging has evolved from a doubtful hobby to a well-liked and successful career.

Starting out was challenging

At first, I was scared to proceed. I wanted to wait until I was an expert on the topic. Unless I was capable enough.

I was a poor writer. Without a doubt, I wasn’t the best at creating attractive interfaces. I was just starting to work and was still learning.

Writing my first piece and overcoming this phobia both took some time. I also felt as though a fountain had opened after finishing my first piece.

I got a passion to presenting my work to the public.

My first blog initially had exactly 0 views.

When I finished writing my second post, it received an average of 100 readers and five applause. That comes from my buddies.

However, as I continued to write, I got better at it. I started using writing as a tool to share my work. It offered a way for me to connect and get in touch with other budding designers.

Here are five compelling reasons to join the party and start writing your own design blog, among the blogging world’s fastest-growing topics.

Money (Side Income)

Simply put, the ability to earn money from your work is the main incentive to start contributing to design blogs.

Writing is a valid and simple way to achieve this alone. Most designers I’ve ever met are constantly looking for new skills they can utilize to make a little extra money.

I first began writing to share my thoughts around the world. In the first month I started making money, the Medium Partner Program gave me about $4.57. I got $3.88 after the 15% tax reduction.
Since making money wasn’t my primary objective, I kept writing.

I can now, however, declare that I now get a respectable amount of passive revenue from my posts on Medium after more than a year of constant blogging.

Learning Experience

You might assume that as bloggers, we only write about subjects that are completely familiar to us.

But you would be dead incorrect.

More frequently than not, writing an article or guide is a learning process for both the writer and the reader.

A great method to make oneself keep up with the current web/design trends and technologies is to write blogs.

Never be reluctant to accept an article if the subject is unfamiliar to you; instead, view it as a challenge that will ultimately be to your advantage.

The more you write about a topic, the more you’ll learn.

Even writing about subjects you are quite knowledgeable with usually requires extensive research.

When hundreds or thousands of people will read your introduction to the subject, you’ll find that you are much more likely to learn things correctly than to take short routes.

You can always count on commenters to call out any false claims or grammatical mistakes. They are also not afraid to inform you that your entire thesis is illogical.

You can connect with your audience. Since you are still learning, you will be able to simplify ideas and make them simpler for your audience to understand.

Building Audience

You should keep an active social media presence if you’re a working adult.

When you start a blog, it offers you an incentive to post to social media and you can link to your recently published content from/to Facebook, Twitter, and other well-known platforms.

Whether you work as a full-time employee or a freelancer, having a sizable, devoted following can open doors to rewarding career chances you’d never otherwise encounter.

Working Opportunities

The fact that they thought my writing experience to be noteworthy was one of the reasons I heard over and over again for being chosen. Employers considered writing to be a desired talent even though I was looking for a design career.

This is valid for practically every career. A gift for communicating and clear, logical thought processes are necessary for writing, a high level cognitive skill. You may be good management material if you can break down a complex subject into simple-to-follow steps in a written tutorial.

Nobody will come across your design work and hire you. Writing is a fantastic way to market your own work, which is something you should do.

Become a part of system

There is a sizable internet design community. Through social media, we connect, exchange links, and have quick conversations about the wins and losses we encounter every day.

A constantly expanding network of design blogs that daily produce free information is what pushes this community ahead.

You are now a consumer in the design community if you are reading this. This is fantastic because without your continued reading and sharing of our posts, we will go hungry. You’ve effectively contributed to what we do in this way.
