对于所有的计算机相关从业者与爱好者来说，20世纪末的“千年虫”都是颇为经典，并且极具警示意义的一个问题。
所谓的“千年虫”是早期计算机软件设计使用两位数日期字段导致的逻辑问题，如果不进行修复，它将会在逻辑上将系统困死在2000年前，永远无法适应新世纪。
有趣的是，在“千年虫”被解决的22年后，
有一位信息安全专家发现，微软的邮箱软件Outlook中，存在类似的问题。
这位专家发现，如果用户在Outlook通过“Ctrl+G”快捷键以及缩写年份的方式，定位任意2029年12月31日之后的日期，都会触发Bug。
