Data vault with distributed keys and social recovery
Meet Kosign -- a vault designed to be recoverable by your quorum of key guardians.
What kind of data can social recovery be useful for? Well, if you are using 2FA to secure your password manager then you are doing great... But how will you access your password manager if you've lost your 2FA device? and where do you store your 2FA backup codes, github account recovery codes and other emergency passwords?
Kosign lets you print your vault contents in encrypted format for secure offline cold storage (you can pin-it on your fridge with a magnet and it will still be super secure!).
Kosign is based on the security model I personally use for storage of my crypto keys, ensuring that my family can access them in emergencies without them having to worry about how to store it securely. Keys are held with a distributed group of my delegates, which will enable my family to unlock the vault if needed.
I spent weeks coding my personal vault, and wanted others to benefit from the social recovery security model, so i've developed Kosign.
