当地时间8月12日，adidas宣布旗下运动品牌将锐步（Reebok）以21亿欧元（约合25亿美元）的对价出售给与美国品牌管理公司Authentic Brands Group (ABG)。交易将大部分以现金的方式支付，预计于2022年第一季度完成。
锐步创立于1895年，曾是全球第三大运动品牌，主要产品包括运动鞋、运动服饰、健身服饰等。2005年，adidas以38亿美元，约合人民币249亿元收购锐步。2007年，adidas近四分之一的收入都来自于锐步，2019年锐步也实现销售额约17亿欧元。
但受疫情影响，2020前三季度，锐步收入同比下降20%，占adidas整体收入不过7%。同时，截至9月30日，adidas集团前三季度整体收入也同比下降了18%。因此在2020年12月，adidas宣布出售锐步（Reebok），对锐步进行评估，寻找买家。
