AvePoint revamps partner program

Microsoft 365 data management specialist AvePoint has introduced a global partner program to replace its previous regional programs.

Designed to accommodate different types of partners, including managed service partners (MSPs), value added resellers (VARs), cloud consultants and DevOps partners, AvePoint's new program is intended to equip them with the technology and resources they need to gain new and additional business.

Benefits of the program are said to include generous compensation and incentives, training and enablement, 24x365 support, access to Microsoft 365 expertise, opportunities for IP co-creation, and marketing and co-selling opportunities.

"The Microsoft ecosystem presents a huge economic opportunity for partners who can build purpose-driven services around it with AvePoint technologies," said AvePoint senior vice president of global channel and partner ecosystems Jason Beal.

"The number of Microsoft Teams active users increased by more than 100 million since the start of the pandemic, with many of those organisations forced to rush through their digital transformations without having all of their security, compliance or data retention plans in place. That is an attractive opportunity for partners who can help consolidate and protect and govern data from exposure and loss."

The program's two tiers – authorised and invested – means participants at the higher level (who build their businesses around AvePoint technology) can receive additional support, resources, and discounts.

It also includes a partner advisory council to help shape the program developments, and a community champions program to help spotlight important partners in AvePoint's thought leadership materials.

AvePoint CEO and co-founder Tianyi "TJ" Jiang said "The channel is one of the most important expansion vectors for AvePoint, so we've made it a priority across all business departments in order to realise company goals."

The company's other plans include new products for licence management and for Google Workspace backup.
