这部日剧讲述了不卖座的搞笑三人组合——“麦克白”的成员高岩春斗（菅田将晖饰）、朝吹瞬太（神木隆之介饰）、美浓轮润平（仲野太贺饰），和他们的粉丝——家庭餐厅店员的浜里穗子（有村架纯饰）及其妹妹䌷（古川琴音饰）的青春故事。他们曾经也有梦想，也有自己想要成为的“大人的自己”。 然而现实是，他们终究偏离了曾经梦想中的道路，过着“失败”人生。就是这样的五位年轻人，他们在生活中却逐渐发现正是由于这个“失败”，才得以与现在的人和事相遇，才得以找到了至今从未想过的“幸福”，才得以刻画出这样一曲绚烂的20代青春物语。
