因一场意外，萧暮应姐姐姚梦归要求假扮“姚梦归”，从一个外卖员摇身一变成为家喻户晓的演员。发现疑点的陈默决定为了挖掘猛料并调查真相，便以执行经纪人的身份潜伏在萧暮身边。在调查过程中，陈默终于发现了萧暮和姚梦归的秘密，陈默萧暮两人也因此这一段“冒牌”际遇，开启了各自蜕变人生的故事。就在萧暮逐渐适应艺人生活，与男主陈默渐生情愫之时，姐姐姚梦归意外回归。最终发现谜底的陈默是选择揭发还是保护爱人？萧暮会继续依靠皮囊成为姐姐的影子吗？而这背后真正的操纵者又是谁？
