Xiaomi Mi 11 Is Official With Snapdragon 888, 120Hz Screen

One of the most exciting smartphones on the horizon is the Xiaomi Mi 11. While we have no idea if and when the phone will make a global debut, we've learned all the details in an official announcement on Xiaomi's website.

What Does the Xiaomi Mi 11 Bring?

Before Xiaomi made the phone official, we knew it was toting a Snapdragon 888 processor, and that ended up being true. It comes with either 8 or 12GB RAM with that beefy processor. If you go with the 8GB configuration, you'll get 128GB of internal storage, and the 12GB configuration comes with 256GB of space.

While that's exciting, the other specs offered by the Xiaomi Mi 11 are arguably just as enticing.

Xiaomi always pushes things forward with its flagship devices, and this one is no exception. The Mi 11 features a large 6.81-inch AMOLED display with a 3,200 x 1,440 resolution and the all-important 120Hz refresh rate.

The camera is one of the more impressive aspects of the phone, as it features a 108-megapixel primary lens, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 5-megapixel telephoto camera. The front camera has a 20-megapixel lens hidden within a tiny hole punch in the screen's upper portion. The camera can record 8K video at 30fps, which is quite impressive.

As far as the battery goes, there's a massive 4,600mAh battery with 55W wired fast charging, speedy 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging for sharing power. That's just about every high-end battery feature you could ever want in terms of battery.

If you like listening to music on your phone's speakers, Xiaomi is including Harman Kardon-branded speakers, which should offer a little more punch than generic speakers that tend to come in most phones.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Price and Availability

Sadly, Xiaomi only announced the availability of this excellent phone for mainland China. It will launch in China on January 1, so buyers won't have to wait too long to get their hands on the phone. Hopefully, the company announces global launch plans for the phone soon, because we want to play with it.

The phone will be available in lots of colors. There's a traditional black, white, and blue. Additionally, the phone will come in a gorgeous leather finish in khaki or smoke purple.

As far as price, the Xiaomi Mi 11 is quite reasonable, coming with a 3,999 yuan ($612) price tag. Just because the phone is priced around $600 doesn't mean it'll be that cheap if it makes its way to US shores, though Xiaomi phones tend to be reasonably-priced.
