Product Details

The Parsec Supergun allows playing JAMMA arcade game PCBs without an arcade cabinet at home. RGB, S-Video, and Composite video options ensure compatibility with most displays. Neo Geo compatible controller ports offer many controller options.

Easy to connect and start playing

The Parsec has 2 power supply options: Standard ATX power supply for PCs or a real arcade power supply (not included.) The Parsec has an on-board -5v regulator for newer ATX power supplies that do not generate -5v.

Parsec has a built-in NTSC video converter and RGB buffer chips that provide composite and s-video as well as RGB output. An 8p mini-DIN connector is used for RGB connection, and is compatible with XRGB mini Framemeister pinout. All video outputs have 75 ohm drivers.

Audio line out is provided through a 1/8" stereo headphone connector or the 8p mini-DIN A/V connector. Since the signal from an arcade game is intended for speakers, this signal is attenuated to an amplifier safe level. Audio isolation transformers protect your TV or receiver. Audio output to the 8p A/V output connector is disabled when the 1/8" audio line out jack is used.

Neo Geo compatible DB15 controller ports and a kick harness connector make the Parsec compatible with 6 button games. DIP switches allow buttons 4-6 to be tied to the JAMMA connector on supported games. The 2.5mm pitch JST style kick harness connector is compatible with several other superguns.

Optional HAT Module Available Separately.

The expanded video HAT is available in 2 different configurations: - VGA connector with switch to select composite sync or TTL level horizontal / vertical sync - Deluxe hat adds YPbPr component video at 240p.

Component Video Output Compatibility: Most TVs made before 2010 are compatible with 240p component. Most newer TVs with component inputs are only compatible with 480i or 480p.

Optional Kick Harness Connection Kit

Allows an arcade game's kick harness cable to be more easily connected to Parsec (soldering required.) Comes with a 6 inch JST extension cable and 3 connector boards for soldering to your existing kick harnesses.

Compatibility

While the PARSEC was designed for compatibility with the vast majority of the 1,000s of available JAMMA arcade games, it may not work with every game. Some RGB monitors may be incompatible with Parsec.
