As the creator of MidReal, this vision has been in my mind for years. My dream has always been to create a place where we can live parallel lives, free from the burdens and responsibilities of the real world, and simply indulge in our fantasies. Maybe a different gender? A new career? Or inventing AGI? By the end of 2023, with the advancement of GPT, SD, and a daily influx of groundbreaking research, I knew it was time to bring this vision to life. So, I teamed up with my best friend from MIT and a crew of brilliant minds to create MidReal.

Instead, MidReal seeks to empower those who dream vividly but may not have the means to articulate their visions through writing. Our platform enables users to bring their own fantastical worlds to life with stories and illustrations. More so, it allows them to “fork” at any juncture, carving out personalized narratives from existing ones. This interactive feature, currently in alpha on our website (https://midreal.ai/), invites users not just to read, but to co-create. While there might be a bug or two, a quick refresh usually smooths things out.

Not kidding, I actually grey up reading all sorts of internet novels.
When I was 13 I used the screen of a mini MP3 player the, the same size of my thumb, to finish one of the longest Chinese internet novels - Fights Break Spheres (https://www.amazon.com/Fights-Br...). The first job I got was to develop ByteDance's first novel reading app (that would be another long long story...)
Dragon Raja by Jiangnan was my favorite novel growing up... I once even considered it as China's Harry Potter. But it was so sad to see that book ended in such a disappointing way... That's when I thought, it would be so cool if I can hire the author to write the book the way I want it! But that would be way too expensive right?
Now MidReal is actually solving this problem! Just give it a try and you will be able to see how it could unravel chapters after chapters of story, all you gotta do is to make the critical choice for the story! The stories could be infinitely long and you can see all the amazing content created by the community!

@shunxinpang Your story is really amazing! Being immersed in the world of internet novels from childhood to adulthood must have accumulated a lot of precious memories and feelings. "Fights Break Spheres," as a lengthy masterpiece, the fact that you were able to finish reading it on the screen of a mini MP3 player, is really admirable for your perseverance and passion.
Jiangnan's "Dragon Raja" is also a work I like very much, although the ending is a bit regrettable, the imaginative space and emotional experience it brings are irreplaceable. Thank you for your love of MidReal! We really need users like you, and hope to hear more feedback from you.❤️
