这两年，改造升级显卡显存容量非常流行，RTX 40/30/20、RX 6000系列一个也没跑掉，但有时候效果很明显，有时候就不好说了。
快科技2月24日消息，巴西团队Paulo Gomes最近接到一个特殊的活儿，有客户觉得自己的RTX 2080 8GB显存太小了，要求升级，甚至贴心提供了显存芯片。
RTX 2080发布于2018年，采用TU104-400 GPU，配备了2944个CUDA核心，搭配256-bit 8GB GDDR6显存。
改造过程都是轻车熟路了，拿到旧显存芯片，换上新显存芯片，再调整几个跳线，搞定。
GPU-Z可以正确识别出16GB显存，标准驱动和软件也都无障碍安装。
跑了一下非常吃显存的《生化危机4》，改造前后平均帧率基本没变，但是1％最低帧从3FPS来到了59FPS，提升了几乎20倍！
这也意味着，游戏在大显存下的严重卡顿现象几乎不见了，非常流畅。
