Mishaboar, a well-known Dogecoin (DOGE) user, has warned DOGE holders that hackers and fraudsters will likely target them.

Nefarious artists recently got into the MyDoge wallet account and stole information. The account has since been fixed.

Dogecoin Vulnerability And MyDoge Wallet Hack

Mishaboar expressed concerns about how vulnerable the meme-inspired cryptocurrency and its owners were in a shocking comment that sent shockwaves through the Dogecoin community.

The contributor stressed that DOGE is still an attractive target for criminals, primarily because of its popularity among people who are new to crypto.

The warning wasn’t just about cryptocurrencies; Mishaboar also asked Twitter to move quickly by temporarily shutting down scam accounts that had been reported. The call to action comes after hackers recently took over the official Twitter account for MyDoge wallet.

Due to its popularity among those new to crypto, thus particularly vulnerable, #Dogecoin users will always be a primary target for hackers and scammers.

Mishaboar gave information about the MyDoge wallet hack and said that hackers got in by using “delegate access” authorizations that were still active from an earlier breach in early December.

The thieves told people who used Dogecoin to send DOGE to a particular wallet and promised a double return. The contributor told the community that access had been returned but not before warning new Dogecoin holders strongly not to do anything risky.

Mishaboar highlighted essential safety rules for people, starting with Dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies. Users were warned not to accept offers like “double returns” or other tempting deals.

Additionally, the contributor stressed the importance of keeping one’s seed phrase safe and not connecting wallets to other coins for airdrops or NFTs.

Dear #Dogecoin, the official channel of the popular MyDoge wallet was hacked again today via authorization left into “delegate access” since last hack.

The account has now been restored.

The tweet contained the usual “Send your Doge to this address for 2X”.

“Trust no one. Always double-check any posted information,” concluded Mishaboar in a tweet that resonated across the Dogecoin community.

In a different development, crypto analyst Ali Martinez pointed out that the Dogecoin network has grown significantly. New wallets have grown by an amazing 1,100% in the last week, as shown by IntoTheBlock charts.

The #Dogecoin network is witnessing a remarkable surge in growth, with new addresses increasing by a staggering 1,100% over the past week!

On January 29 alone, a record-breaking 247,240 new #DOGE addresses were created, marking an all-time high. A sustained uptrend in network… pic.twitter.com/7tNAPzJaP2
