12月28日，在小米汽车技术发布会上，小米发布了超级电机V8s，雷军介绍，超级电机V8s完全由小米自研，转速为业内最高，每分钟27200转，计划2025年上车。同时，小米超级电机技术预研，采用碳纤维激光缠绕工艺，转速达到35000rpm。在首款量产车型SU7上，搭载小米V6/V6s电机，分别与联电和汇川联合开发。
雷军表示，小米汽车将通过15-20年的努力，成为全球前五的汽车厂商。他表示，小米汽车的目标是造一辆能媲美保时捷、特斯拉的梦想汽车。
