In creating music for the “Despicable Me” franchise, Pharrell Williams envisioned a colour that echoed the Minions’ playful and mischievous spirit. Meanwhile, Pantone, the colour authority, wanted to spice up its palette.

As a result of this creative convergence, music and animation blended seamlessly with colour theory in a meticulous design process.
