LibreOffice新版调整为日历的版本号 – 开源派
LibreOffice 办公软件项目调整了版本号命名规则， v7.6 版本之后不是 v7.7 或 v8.0，而将是 v24.2。开发人员正在转向基于年/月的版本控制系统。因此，下一个基于六个月的发布节奏的版本将是LibreOffice 24.2，然后是LibreOffice 24.8，25.2，25.8，26.2等。由于 LibreOffice 代码库的成熟，当前的版本控制系统并没有真正反映重大变化。通过切换到基于日历的编号系统，管理更加方便。
LibreOffice内部讨论是否应该说 LibreOffice 2024.2，但最终决定使用 YY.M 的方案。也有人讨论是否像Firefox和Google Chrome现在所做的那样，总是在每个新版本中增加主要版本号，最终也未被采纳。
