Central Product Platforms build full stack systems that support all of Meta's products. It is a great opportunity to work on large scale engineering problems such as indexes with billions of records. You would be joining a diverse engineering team based in London with mentoring opportunities from senior engineers.
Software Engineer on Central Product Platforms Responsibilities
Full stack application development in multiple programming languages
Can independently own and complete large features and projects
Can collaborate with non-engineering teams effectively
Works with other engineers on release processes and incident management
Building efficient data pipelines to power scalable backends
Minimum Qualifications
BSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
Experience working on large search indexes (e.g. Elasticsearch)
Experience building software for compliance (e.g. privacy and transparency)
Demonstrated experience of building, testing, and releasing large features
Experience building and maintaining clean codebases with appropriate testing and monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with external partners such as academic researchers
Familiarity with Hack (PHP), React, and SQL
