特斯拉CEO埃隆·马斯克周三表示，特斯拉最初之所以决定建设自己的超级充电站网络是迫于无奈，因为没有其他人做这件事。
马斯克是在回应特斯拉硅谷车主俱乐部的一条推文，该推文称“特斯拉知道电动汽车普及的最大挑战是充电。他们创建了一个无与伦比的充电网络和简单的标准化NACS。北美现在正将其作为标准。”
马斯克回应称：“我们出于绝望建立了超级充电站网络，因为没有其他人在做这件事。”
自成立以来，特斯拉一直致力于解决电动汽车的充电问题，其全球超级充电站的数量也在不断增加。今年5月初，特斯拉全球超级充电站的数量突破了5000座，再次刷新了全球充电网络的记录。
