Automatically removes crowds from your wanderlust photos

Soo… hello Product Hunt, long time no see 👋😇 Almost a year, actually. How are you guys doing? The summer is coming, finally! Great news, right?

I'm so excited to tell you we've just launched Stillgram 2 on the App Store! Initially, we were not planning on launching this version on PH, since this almost-a-year of meticulous work took place mainly under the hood (I'll cover that a bit further down) - but hey, then we thought many of you guys might be looking for a cool, unique photo app before your next big trip this summer, so we really hope you'll find Stilgram worth checking out!

Stillgram does one thing: it's an AI-based camera app that automatically removes crowds from your travel photos. No editing, no extra time needed - all you need to do is to tap the shutter button. Point and shoot, and the rest is done automatically. Take a look at a few examples above - those are actual LIVE STILLGRAMS taken in Paris and NYC (just before the fires 😥) in the last couple of weeks. Imagine sharing stillgrams like that instead of your regular travel photos!

What we focused on in this iteration was optimising the performance, i.e. revamping the device memory usage, so that Stillgram would - unlike most AI apps these days - work 100% offline, on your iPhone. No mobile data needed - decisive for the health of your phone bill while traveling abroad.

We've also implemented the latest and greatest AI models, so now Stillgram runs a few times faster and way more stable.

Plus some small UX improvements, like loading models in the background so you can start taking stillgrams immediately, using a dedicated AI model that performs best for each in-app task, and a few more updates that should result in a more smooth, yet familiar and seamless experience. Stillgram has a few "photo modes". It lets you take wide shots in which all the people in the scene disappear (perfect for architecture and mere magic lovers). It also gives you the option to keep in the photo whoever you want (just tap to mark them, and they will be the only one in front of the Eiffel Tower or the Coliseum, true VIP travel photo UX 😉🥳). You can also take selfies - you stay in the photo, everybody else disappears ✌️🥵

After you take your perfect stillgram (it might take a few attempts at first, please have a bit of patience choosing the perfect angle, you'll get it after a few tries 🙏🙏) - you can save / share it as a still photo (we call them 'stillgrams') or as a LIVE STILLGRAM - a short video showing a few secs of the crowded place, then all the people magically disappear and the person you had marked is the only one who stays in the frame. Every time I share a LIVE STILLGRAM to Instagram story people react like 🫴❤️❤️❤️, let me tell you that.
