Honor, a major Chinese player in smartphone market, just updated its number series with the new Honor 90 and 90 Pro on Monday. The series inherits the previous generation's stylish and shiny deisgn as well as high-spec cameras.

The series adopts 200-megapixel (MP) sensor for the primary rear camera and a 50-MP one for selfies while the Pro version additionaly features a 32-MP portrait camera and an extra one for selfie. Honor claimed in its marketing poster that the phone had optimized the camera system for better portrait photography experience.

Honor 90 series boosts a 5000-mAh battery and up to 16 GB memory and 512 GB storage. The Pro one has a 90 W fast charging, which is faster than the vialina one's 66 W.

The two versions also part in its processors. The vanilla version comes with a mid-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (an enhanced version) while the Pro has a higher-end Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. Honor 90 Pro also features dual stereos.

Weighting 183 g, Honor 90 has a 6.7-inch punch-hole OLED display while the Pro is 9 grams heavier, coming with a 6.78-inch pill-hole OLED one.

Starting from 2,499 RMB ($353.07) for the 12 GB + 256 GB version, the series would be available in four colors for preorder in China on Monday. 

Honor tends to extend the availablity to global markt for the number series, but Honor has yet to comment on the issue to PingWest as of press time.
