OnePlus 12 could launch in December with Camera upgrades

It has been a while since the launch of the OnePlus 11, based on the company’s typical release schedule, we’re not expecting a new model anytime soon. Of Course, surprises can happen, but that does not seem to be the case with the rumored OnePlus 12. According to tipster Yogesh Brar the phone will be launched in China in December. That’s earlier than the OnePlus 11 release, but still a bit far from us. Despite this, the tipster still has some specs to share. Obviously, you should digest this with a pinch of salt.

OnePlus 12 Will Bring Some Upgrades on Cameras

As per information from tipster Yogesh Brar, the new phone could be launched in China on December 2023. The tipster also indicates some good upgrades for the camera of the next flagship. The tipster shared the detail of the specs of a possible engineering sample of the next flagship. Bear in mind that the information is not confirmed yet, so specs are subject to change.

As per the leak, the OnePlus 12 will bring a 64 MP periscope unit, one 50 MP main camera, and a 50 MP ultrawide shooter. With that setup, the device could bring neat upgrades in photography, especially when we look at the phone’s zooming capabilities.

Alleged specifications

Apart from the camera, we also have the most obvious upgrade – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Details regarding this chipset remain unclear. We can expect an upgrade in the cores to the next ARM standards. For instance, we may see the ARM Cortex-X4 as the prime core in this CPU. It should also stick with 4nm architecture. In any case, the SoC may arrive in November. That is one month ahead of the OnePlus 12 rumored launch window.

Besides these details, the display, battery, and charging specs should remain intact when compared to the OnePlus 11. It’s likely that we will see a 6.7-inch 120 Hz screen, a 5,000 mAh battery, and 100W wired charging. We expect more details to be revealed in due time. For now, digest these leaks with a pinch of salt. Despite the tipster’s good track record, We are still a few months away from the OnePlus 12 release.  Until official confirmation from the company, we need to treat all this as a rumor.
