Why does x show when the audio sounds like y?

Everything with Blotter happens fully hands-off, and the system isn't perfect quite yet. Only the algorithm knows why it generates certain visuals!

I wanted cool things to look at to accompany my song playlists when I had friends over.

Blotter takes in music files and generates relevant visuals in real time.

• Raw audio signal is fed in
• An algorithm identifies beats and different pitches in the song, and classifies genre
• If vocals are present, Blotter attempts to transcribe lyrics to inform visuals as well
• All of this information is fed through a deep learning model to predict ideas for most relevant visuals
• These ideas are then fed into a real time, visual generative AI model outputting at 24fps - which becomes the video you see on the stream above!

An example if all goes well: an EDM song will likely include laser light shows that dance to the beat.
