RIHO Group is a Dutch designer and manufacturer of quality baths, whirlpools, showers, and bathroom furniture that has been in business for over 35 years. Based in Tilburg, Netherlands, the innovative manufacturer is taking the customer experience to the next level. Increasing data quality with the fit-to-standard approach

Collecting data from various sources and storing them in different spaces, RIHO had a fragmented data management process which was preventing the company from getting a comprehensive view of the available data asset.

“We needed a system that was globally for all the companies within the RIHO Group, so that we had one uniformed way of working, and one uniformed way of looking at data.” says Guy Claesen, CEO at RIHO.

Recognizing the need for a single source of truth, RIHO decided to centralize all business processes across countries with a standardized approach. This enabled the company to utilize the same functionalities of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition across the globe, and improved transparency within business operations at RIHO group.

“It’s about the product data. It is about the prices. It’s about product naming in all languages. All centralized. We develop a new product, put it in the system, then it’s available for everybody” says Bardo Govaarts, Manager of R&D at RIHO.

Improving delivery times with maximized stock efficiency

“With SAP S/4HANA Cloud, we became more independent.” says Guy Claesen. Leveraging early visibility into sales, purchase, and stock transport orders has helped the company to plan and schedule goods across logistics operations. Looking at the data from the same angle and using the same functionalities of the cloud ERP has led to more effective and efficient collaboration, coordination, and communication. This has not only enabled faster fulfillment and lower inventory costs but also helps RIHO to improve customer service.

“One push on the button and we get what are the sales today, what’re the sales next week.” says Mr. Govaarts and continues: “SAP S/4HANA helps us have better visibility of our stock levels and of delivery times.“

Consolidating data and synchronizing business processes help RIHO to get a complete picture of real-time inventory, and delivery times. Thanks to the new cloud-based IT environment, the company benefits through cost savings from centralized, comprehensive process oversight, one-click reporting, and consistency across product data and pricing.

Keeping promises with high spot accuracy and real-time insights

“We know when to produce, and when to stop producing” adds Mr. Govaarts. Utilizing real-time data insights across manufacturing operations helps RIHO streamline its entire operations and take resolute decisions from the boardroom to the factory floor. It simplifies the product design processes throughout the product lifecycle including master data for materials, routings, bill of materials, and recipes.

“SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition allows us to get the complete picture of our operations, and it helps us keep our promise, and commit to what we can really do.” says Mr. Govaarts. Promising what and when you can deliver accurately in real-time, based on current and future information is one of the significant key factors that affects the customer experience.

With the support of NTT DATA Business Solutions and SAP, RIHO centralized manufacturing and supply processes and achieved full oversight by standardizing on SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition.
