芯片之母 美国EDA率先进军2nm时代：功耗降低30%

5月12日消息，EDA电子设计自动化被称为芯片之母，是芯片设计及制造不可少的关键工具，前不久华为宣布已经攻克了14nm以上工艺的EDA工具，实现了国产化，但在这个领域，美国几家公司在全球是垄断性领先。
在台积电的技术论坛会议上，美国新思科技（Synopsys）也宣布跟台积电达成了合作，
在后者的N2工艺上实现了数字及定制设计EDA流程，率先进入了2nm时代。
新思提到，与N3工艺相比， 台积电的2nm工艺在相同功率下可提升15%的性能，相同速度下可降低30%的功耗 ，同时还提高了芯片密度。
新思科技新一代EDA投入了大量资源，可以让芯片设计人员快速启动2nm芯片设计，不仅为芯片带来差异化，同时还能缩短芯片上市时间。
