5月7日消息， 中科院物理研究所近日发布消息，揭秘了嫦娥五号带回的月壤样品中的天然玻璃物质。
大家可能不知道，玻璃是自然界中普遍存在的天然物质，月球表面就有火山喷发、地质运动、陨石撞击等活动产生的丰富的玻璃物质，甚至可以稳定存在亿万年。
对于嫦娥五号带回的迄今最高纬度、最年轻的月壤样品，中科院物理研究所、北京凝聚态物理国家研究中心开展了系统的物质科学研究。
通过综合分析月壤中玻璃/非晶物质的形态、成分、微观结构和形成机制，研究团队发现了多种类型、不同起源的月球玻璃物质，构建了月壤玻璃/非晶相的分类目录，并从玻璃形成的角度揭示了采样点月球表面的空间环境特征及其对月表物质的改造作用。
