Motorola Razr Plus 2023

Motorola is pretty much set to roll the curtains on the Razr+ 2023. Although previous leaks have suggested that the phone will be called Razr Ultra, it seems that the phone will indeed be called Motorola Razr+ 2023. Also, it is not the only phone that Motorola has ready for release.

Alongside the Razr+, Motorola will likely debut the Razr Lite, which aims to be an affordable foldable smartphone of 2023. Back to the Motorola Razr+ 2023, the phone has just visited Geekbench. With that, we get our first confirmation on the phone’s key specs. And things are not looking pretty for the foldable device.

Motorola Razr+ 2023 To Come With Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

As seen in the Geekbench listing, the Razr+ 2023 will feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. This is a huge bummer, as all the flagship phones of 2023 are already rocking the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Moreover, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is almost on the horizon, which will make the 8 Gen 2 old news when it debuts.

This spec confirmation eventually means that the Razr+ 2023 will not directly go against the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5. As per the rumors, the Z Flip 5 will likely debut with a much more efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. But yes, the Razr+ 2023’s external display will surely be a key selling point of the foldable device.

Even so, at this stage, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is pretty much confirmed to come with a much larger external screen than the predecessor. So, the Motorola Razr+ 2023 might be weak against it. But if Motorola slaps an attractive price tag on its upcoming foldable flagship, things could get a bit interesting. We will basically need to wait till the official announcement to see what Motorola has to offer.
