碳链价值APP讯，Coinbase 前首席技术官 Balaji Srinivasan 在 Consensus 2023 大会上对其此前「打赌比特币价格或将于 6 月 17 日达到 100 万美元」的赌约做出解释称，其预测中“比特币价格达到 100 万美元”的情况将是美国金融体系中信心和信用的全面崩溃的标志，因为政府为支撑脆弱的银行体系而大量印钞。
其认为美国经济有 10% 的可能性在几个月内出现一个非常严重的问题，70% 的可能性在几年内出现，19% 的几率在几十年内发生，而只有 1% 的几率需要一个世纪或更长时间出现。
Srinivasan 表示，（比特币达到 100 万美元）可能需要 900 天甚至 90 个月吗？有可能，我没法确定这有 100% 的可能性，我不认为它是 100%，但我认为具体数字很高，因为我看到系统中有很多脆弱性。我可能是错的，但我烧掉一百万是为了告诉你他们（美联储及美国官方）正在印刷数万亿。
