The tool is designed to respond to users’ messages like a close friend. This is how Snapchat sees it, but there is another side to the story.

According to users, My AI just invades their privacy and gets in the way when they are trying to chat with their friends. Complaints about the My AI chatbot are growing. Currently, My AI is pinned to the top of users’ chat feeds. It even appears on top of users’ own pinned chats. To remove My AI from the top, you will need to purchase a $3.99 monthly subscription to Snapchat +. There is no other way to remove this chatbot.

Snapchat’s My AI Chatbot Receives More Complaints Than Ever!

As soon as Snapchat released the My AI chatbot, a ton of 1-star reviews of Snapchat appeared. One thing is clear: most users are unhappy with this AI chatbot. A TikTok video went viral in which user @fishneck said,

“When my Snapchat AI thinks it has the right to be pinned above my bf.”

The caption reads, “PLS HOW DO I GET RID OF IT.” TikToker’s video has over 3.7 million views, 510,000 likes, and thousands of comments with similar reactions. One comment reads, “The $4 was worth it to unpin”. Another user says: “I blocked Team Snapchat from sending me stuff; why would I want this robot??”

There are countless other users who would rather leave the platform than pay Snapchat’s $3.99 subscription fee to hide the AI bot. Snapchat users have been complaining about the new service, with most people believing it violates their privacy. One user took to Twitter to mock the Snapchat My AI chatbot.

Snapchat’s AI service also faced a lot of criticism when it started giving inappropriate and unsafe responses. In an official statement, the social media platform said that My AI only gives “non-conforming” responses to 0.01% of users. The statement said that the company is aware of the age factor of its users and has “worked vigorously to improve its responses to inappropriate Snapchatter requests, regardless of a Snapchatter’s age.”
