In the last launch event in China, Xiaomi introduced a ton of interesting products. Among them, there’s the camera king Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi Band 8, and Xiaomi Pad 6 series. In addition, the event unveiled the Xiaomi Sound Move, a brand-new portable speaker that aims to get you moving with sound.

At the core, the Xiaomi Sound Move features 4-unit dual-symmetrical stereo speakers that are housed in a solid aluminum body. Xiaomi appears to have gone all out in terms of the sound department, packing the speakers with Harmon Kardon tuning. And the best part is that the speaker debuted with a very affordable price tag!

Closer Look at the Xiaomi Sound Move

The first highlight of the Xiaomi Sound Move is the build quality. Xiaomi has opted for a sleek anodized aluminum body that’s considerably light in weight. This lightweight nature enhances the portable nature of the Bluetooth speaker. The portable speaker is highly resistant to challenging weather conditions too. It has an IP66 rating to ensure you don’t face any limitations during outdoor adventures.

Talking of which, you will be able to carry the Xiaomi Sound Move in your backpack throughout the entire day without facing any discomfort. The speaker weighs just 568 grams! And thanks to the built-in loop, the portable speaker can be attached securely to your backpack.

Besides that, the Xiaomi Sound Move has a built-in gravity sensor. This sensor will automatically adjust the sound output depending on the placement of the speaker. Sound Performance and Price

Xiaomi has enhanced the sound quality of the Sound Move by integrating a 4-unit dual-symmetrical stereo design. Both the left and right side of the portable speaker comes with dual driver units. And there are dual passive radiators on the front and rear of the wireless speaker. These passive radiators further enhance the resonance of the speaker.

As mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi Sound Move comes with Harman Kardon tuning. That allows the portable speaker to deliver a rich, detailed-filled, and louder sound. To be exact, the maximum sound pressure rating of the portable speaker is 90 dB. So, overall, it is a great pick as one of the best portable speakers.

When it comes to pricing, Xiaomi Sound Move sports a 699 Yuan price tag. That’s around $100. However, it is currently a China-exclusive device. And Xiaomi did not share any details regarding global availability yet.
