Shiba Inu Expands Reach With Travala Affiliate Program and City Pay

Shiba Inu, a popular cryptocurrency, continues to experience increased adoption in the Web2 realm as companies capitalize on its extensive community of supporters. Among the early adopters is Travala, a prominent travel company that began accepting SHIB payments in 2021. Recently, Travala has reinforced its commitment to SHIB by introducing a new program that enables SHIB holders to earn commissions.

Travala Announces Referral Program for Shiba Inu Holders

On Wednesday, Travala announced via Twitter that Shiba Inu holders can now earn commissions on their platform through a new referral program. 

This program allows users to receive up to 5.55% in referral commissions when someone utilizes their affiliate link.

The announcement explicitly targets SHIB holders as eligible participants in the referral program. 

The initiative encourages SHIB usage as a payment method on the platform by offering a referral bonus when a payment is made on Travala using SHIB through an affiliate’s link.

A detailed analysis of the program and its associated rewards reveals that affiliates will benefit the most from hotel bookings made using their affiliate link. Hotel booking commissions are set at 5%, while flight reservations will result in a 4% commission for affiliates.

Furthermore, affiliates will earn a 0.5% commission from bookings made by every new user, provided they registered using the affiliate’s link.

Travala and City Pay Tap Shiba Inu

Travala was among the first companies to announce support for Shiba Inu payments, during the height of the bull market in 2021 when excitement surrounding the cryptocurrency was at its peak. The platform’s integration of SHIB added real-world utility to the meme coin by allowing users to pay for travel bookings through the platform.

Earlier this week, City Pay, a Georgian payment service provider, revealed a new integration with Binance Pay. As SHIB is one of the cryptocurrencies that users can pay with using Binance Pay, this integration further expands the reach of the meme coin.

The collaboration signifies that Shiba Inu holders can now make payments using their tokens at over 600 merchants in Georgia, including the prestigious Radisson Hotel and other establishments.

Despite these adoption milestones, SHIB has not seen significant market gains due to the news. Nevertheless, the continued growth of Shiba Inu’s real-world applications and partnerships demonstrates the potential for further expansion and increased utility within the cryptocurrency sphere.
