OK, sharing doc's between devices is great, but...
I guess I'm guilty of not paying enough attention to the trend in Mac OS to have settings switched on to connect across multiply devices for sharing documents etc. I appreciate that it's handy to have notes on my MacBook sync with my iMac etc, however, I wanted to copy a large folder to an external drive today on my main iMac (intel 27) and I got this pop up message "cant connect to the server" Can somebody please explain is this because of "syncing across devices" I probably clicked the option when I was first setting up the iMac. How can I turn this off, so that I can copy to external drives without having to be connected to the network. I kinda cant help thinking that this slows everything down and perhaps also poses a security risk of sorts.
Many Thanks
