今年以来，消费类电子产品整体表现疲软，供应链管控能力强的厂商自然要严控库存。
据The elec报道，其获悉苹果在今年1月和2月份停产了用于MacBook笔记本的M2系列芯片。这段时间内，苹果核心封测厂商（韩国Amkor、STATSChipPAC等）均未收到苹果M2芯片的5nm晶圆进行封装测试。
虽然生产已在3月份恢复，但产量只有去年同期的一半。
资料显示，这是Apple Silicon芯片投产以来，第一次遭遇临时停产。
