Cloud adoption continues to grow exponentially as businesses race to execute digital initiatives like automating the business, offering new digital services, providing real-time access to data for greater insights, and modernizing infrastructure. According to Gartner, IaaS spending within the worldwide public cloud services end-user spending will increase almost 30 percent YoY in 2023. Also, nearly 60 percent of IT spending on application software will be directed toward cloud technologies by 2024[1].

However, it has also become clear that public cloud is insufficient to meet the demands of most large enterprises. In the 2020 Cloud End-User Buying Behavior Survey, Gartner found that 76 percent of respondents had more than one cloud provider[2]. We believe this shows that alternative cloud deployment strategies like multi-cloud, distributed cloud, and hybrid cloud patterns are quickly growing in popularity despite the corresponding increase in complexity.

Multi, Hybrid, and Distributed, Oh My!

So why are businesses increasingly considering these more complex cloud deployments?

Many organizations fear vendor lock-in due to the inability to move data and workloads if the cloud provider fails to meet SLAs, increases pricing, or no longer meets functional requirements. Others are concerned about the security of sensitive internal data or their ability to meet strict regulatory requirements for data privacy. And finally, public cloud providers are one size fits all platforms with limited customization to meet individual business needs.

The bottom line is every enterprise, organization, and team has unique needs that will require a unique deployment strategy. And this is why TIBCO is committed to being a platform and cloud-neutral provider. We give our customers the flexibility to deploy anywhere: public, private, edge, serverless, on-premises, or any combination of the above.

However, this adds complexity to the management, maintenance, and monitoring of workloads across multiple distributed environments. Managing, optimizing, and securing diverse cloud resources will be critical operational challenges for IT organizations going forward.

TIBCO Cloud Integration: Deploy Anywhere, Manage Centrally

To address this challenge, TIBCO continues to look for opportunities to make the management of integration workloads as seamless and simple as possible across all deployment environments. TIBCO Cloud Integration already enables the management and monitoring of remote workloads deployed in your on-premise environment through the Hybrid Agent. And now, the TIBCO Cloud Integration Hybrid Agent has been expanded to add support for your remote workloads deployed on Kubernetes.

You now have the flexibility to choose the best-fit deployment environment for each workload while still simplifying the operational overhead through the centralized TIBCO Cloud Integration dashboard. Take advantage of end-to-end visibility, management, and monitoring in the TIBCO Cloud Integration Dashboard to standardize security and configuration settings, monitor application performance, set up alerts and notifications, and more across all of your applications, regardless of deployment. Learn more about the Hybrid Agent in our product documentation.

We have been recently named a Leader in the 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Integration Platform as a Service, Worldwide for our Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. Learn more about TIBCO Cloud Integration, and try it for yourself for 30 days at no charge.
