Hello everyone, I’m Nishad, cofounder at Inri. Super excited to be launching on PH, the community that has personally helped me discover my favorite products. Thanks @mwseibel for the hunt!
My cofounder, @hemantgangolia , and I have seen first-hand how hard investing in India from abroad is, with all the complexity around taxation, moving money back and a general lack of clarity on where to invest in. We found a lot of other Indian expats in the same situation as us - wanting to invest in India, because of financial & emotional reasons, but unable to do so easily and consistently.
We wished a simple product existed to solve for this online, we couldn’t find one so we built one.
Inri is like Wealthfront for your India investments. It is a web platform that offers curated mutual fund portfolios and solves for all tax compliance and repatriation needs online.
Our early customers are all people who have tried doing this before, but gave up because of all the hassle. The fact that they could get invested in just 2 days vs weeks for traditional alternatives was just unheard of to them.
Hemant and I have been friends since college (IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad) 8 years back, worked in fintech through consulting (BCG, McKinsey) and built 0 to 1 products at ShareChat, Meta before.
