SAP Cloud ALM Analytics: Fiori Monitoring with Real User Monitoring

In this blog, we will explore how to monitor and report Fiori Application performance with SAP Cloud ALM Real User Monitoring.

SAP Fiori Application monitoring is about getting insights in how your Fiori Launchpad is used.

• What Fiori Applications are used ?
• What is the usage of the Fiori applications in terms of the number of users and how often your applications are used.
• What is the general performance of these applications?

In this blog, we don’t include tracking the health and performance of the Application server components supporting your SAP Fiori systems landscape, including the SAP Gateway, the SAP backends and the underlying databases. This can be achieved with other SAP ALM monitoring components like SAP Cloud ALM Health Monitoring.

1. Requests Performance per Fiori Application

Goal:

• Report with a 5 minutes resolution, SAP Fiori Application performances based on historical values.

KPI:

• number of requests with good performance / total number of requests

Filters

• Request Type: SAP UI5
• ServiceType: S/4 HANA
• ServiceID: ${system}
• Requests: ${FioriApp}

2. Response Time per Fiori Application

Goal:

• Report with a 5 minutes resolution, requests execution time triggered by the SAP Fiori Applications.

KPI:

• requests execution time

Filters

• Request Type: SAP UI5
• ServiceType: S/4 HANA
• ServiceID: ${system}
• Requests: ${FioriApp}

3. Number of Users per Fiori Application

KPIs: average number of users

Goal:

• Report with a 5 minutes resolution, the average number of users accessing SAP Fiori Applications.

KPI:

• number of users.

Filters

• Request Type: SAP UI5
• ServiceType: S/4 HANA
• ServiceID: ${system}
• Requests: ${FioriApp}

4. Nb of Requests per Fiori Application

Goal:

• Report with a 5 minutes resolution, the average number of requests triggered from your SAP Fiori Applications.

KPI:

• number of users.
