Several years ago, I developed a habit of constant learning within myself, and now I just can’t live without studying something every day. And it doesn’t matter what it is — learning a new language, a new hobby, a new skill, and improving the current ones. The most important thing is that I do something in this direction. Improving by 1% every day is like the most important rule of a person who wants to achieve something significant.

But at the same time, learning, as it seems to me, should not be chaotic. You can watch different videos on YouTube, read disjointed articles from different sources, but I don’t really like that. It’s like something disjointed, unfinished. You kind of watched something, and kind of didn’t.

Over a very long period of time, I have identified 3 main resources for myself that I turn to almost every day to improve myself and learn something new every day.

Udemy.

I have bought around 10 courses there on various topics, ranging from AI and development to chess courses.

It’s an incredibly cool resource where courses usually cost no more than $20. The platform itself is very well designed, with a user-friendly UX and plenty of functionality for instructors to upload assessment tasks.

The coolest thing about Udemy is that there is so much there. Really a lot. Everything you can imagine and learn — it’s there. Want to learn about blockchain? It’s there, not only one course, but various courses for different levels of knowledge.

Masterclass.

I honestly admit that I bought Masterclass subscription almost a week ago, but have already enjoyed the platform incredibly. It’s really Netflix for education. The app is made in the same style.

But the coolest thing, of course, is the content. Or rather, the speakers who create this content. Top people in any field. For example, I want to improve my game in chess, and there is a course by Gary Kasparov. I want to pump up my knowledge on how to create and manage a company — there are courses by a co-founder of Reddit and Richard Branson. And a huge number of different topics and great and famous speakers.

The only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t buy a monthly subscription. I had to pay for a year at once. But the price is not that big, it was $240.

Product School.

If the first 2 resources were more general (although you can find something advanced on Udemy), the last one is more advanced. Product School is a school where experts in Product Management from Fortune 500 companies share their best practices, how their company approaches organizing work with the product, users, planning, and so on.

It is incredibly valuable because I work in this field. It is incredibly valuable when you listen to a lecture and it talks about a problem that you cannot solve. And it’s not some charlatan talking, but some Product Leader from Apple.

Conclusions.

Education is the key thing that we should worry about and think about every day. The market is incredibly fast-paced and dynamic. If we are not able to keep up with it and maintain our knowledge, we will simply become irrelevant. But even more importantly, if we don’t develop, we degrade. So let’s not degrade, but continue our eternal path of constant development.
