Support is great. Feedback is even better.

"Thanks for checking out the launch. GPTweet is still early and doesn't understand every Twitter feature yet, so what do you think we should build next?

Some things we're thinking: 1. Make GPTweet understand threads 2. Make GPTweet understand media, like photos

Any thoughts?"

Howdy Product Hunt 👋

I’m Tom, and I worked with Hannah to build GPTweet, an AI Twitter assistant based on ChatGPT.

It’s a Chrome extension that helps you get your conversational juices flowing on Twitter. Just click the GPTweet button on any tweet, and get an AI suggested reply! Easy as 🍰

We originally planned to sell the product (we even built out the payments infrastructure), but eventually decided to just give it away, so come get the Chrome extension for free! (But do feel free to follow us on Twitter and Instagram if you like it 😉).

Here’s what you can expect from GPTweet:

🐓 Quality reply suggestions for Twitter posts. It’s built on ChatGPT, so you know the replies are good (usually). 🐓 Actually free. — there’s no ads, no login, and no premium plans. 🐓 Use your OpenAI API key directly. There’s no middleman servers, and your key is stored locally on your computer only.

We're still early and GPTweet doesn't understand every feature yet (like threads), so let us know what we should add next :)

Come check it out: https://chrome.google.com/websto...

✌️

@thomas_chang3 This is a great tool for Twitter users looking for quick and quality replies. One suggestion for improvement could be adding a feature to suggest relevant hashtags for tweets.
@jorexnovik Hey George thanks for the suggestion! I like that idea — right now it occasionally adds a hashtag but it would be cool to make that a consistent feature. Will look into it 😀
@thomas_chang3 Congratulations on the launch! Let's connect on Twitter. If you have a question about design, feel free to contact me.
@pavell2l Thanks Pavel :) Connected with you on Twitter, let's keep in touch
Not works for me. At first, I thought it didn't work for threads, then when I tried it for single tweets it still didn't work. "Hmm, something went wrong getting an AI suggestion. Try again?"

@cankaytaz1 Hey Can! Thanks for trying the extension as well as the report.

Hmm that error happens when OpenAI's API fails — could be related to network connection, whether you have funds in your OpenAI account, etc. We should separate out the errors to show exactly why it fails.

If you're still interested in using the extension, I'm happy to deep dive through DMs 😃

@thomas_chang3 You need to follow me for DMs :) flamelxyz is my Twitter handle.
This looks like a helpful tool for networking on Twitter! Excited to try out GPTweet's Chrome extension and ChatGPT's AI capabilities. Plus, the fact that it's 100% free with no signups required is a huge plus.

GPTweet Twitter Replies is a fantastic chrome extension I highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their Twitter experience. This extension allows you to quickly and easily see the entire conversation thread of any tweet, making it much easier to follow and participate in conversations on the platform.

One of the things I love about GPTweet Twitter Replies is how simple and easy to use it is. Once you've installed the extension, all you need to do is hover over a tweet, and you'll see a button that says "View Replies." Clicking on this button will open a new window that shows the entire conversation thread for that tweet, making it easy to see who has replied and what they've said.

Another great feature of GPTweet Twitter Replies is that it allows you to filter out replies from certain users or with specific keywords. This is incredibly useful if you're trying to avoid particular conversations or users on the platform. You can also view only the tweets from people you follow, making it much easier to keep up with discussions with your friends and followers.

I highly recommend GPTweet Twitter Replies to anyone who uses Twitter regularly. It's a simple, easy-to-use extension that can make a big difference in how you experience the platform. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!
