据相关媒体报道，Meta AR副总裁Alex Himel在近日提出，准备借助Facebook和Instagram等平台，通过广告来实现元宇宙的货币化。他希望能够结合销售虚拟商品、可选附加组件（如云备份和AR广告），使得在社交媒体上获得更高的用户平均收入。
对于元宇宙的广告业务，Alex Himel非常乐观，他认为“我们应该能够经营一个非常好的广告业务，你可以想象当你戴上AR眼镜时，广告是如何出现在空间的，我们跟踪转化率也可以接近100%”。
他还表示，“如果我们的目标接近预期，那将是一项巨大的业务方向”。
