第一批PCIe 5.0 SSD正在陆续登场，但因为主控、闪存方面的限制，第一批产品普遍只能跑到10GB/s的顺序读写速度，虽然比PCIe 4.0 SSD又提高了不少，但还有潜力。
在此之前， 技嘉 、 影驰 都曾披露，后续会升级PCIe 5.0 SSD，读取速度可以超过12GB/s。
海外存储厂商Sabrent也亮出 证据，说他们正在开发中的Rocket X5 PCIe 5.0 SSD，顺序读写速度都能达到12GB/s的档次。
Sabrent表示， 目前的技术限制使得PCIe 5.0 SSD无法达到14GB/s的满血速度 ，但他们正在与主控厂商群联电子全力合作，会在后续实现这一目标。
