3月8日消息，据9to5Mac报道， 苹果下一代MacBook Air和MacBook Pro将会配备M3芯片， 这颗芯片由台积电代工，使用最新一代3nm工艺制程。
报道还指出，苹果承担了台积电3nm工艺的全部订单，基于台积电3nm工艺打造的M3芯片有可能会在今年6月份的WWDC上亮相。
据台积电透露， 相较于5nm制程，3nm制程的逻辑密度将增加约70%，在相同功耗下速度提升10-15%，或者在相同速度下功耗降低25-30%。
而上一代5nm相较于7nm，逻辑密度增加高达1.8倍，相同功耗下速度增快约20%，相同速度下功耗降低约40%。
