早在2021年， 就有开发者迈出第一步，让Linux初步支持了苹果的M1处理器 ，在当时，该项目的开发者表示，虽然实现广泛支持还需要时间，但进展顺利。
出乎预料的是，这一句“需要时间”，却带来了将近两年的等待。
近日，Linux创始人Linus Torvalds发布了稳定的Linux 6.2内核更新，除了新的驱动程序与新功能外，还带来了关于M1系列芯片适配的新消息。
根据开发者Asahi Linux指出的消息，
Linux 6.2内核终于实现了包括M1、M1 Pro、M1 Max与M1 Ultra在内，广泛的Apple芯片支持。
