All the tools you need to manage your independent business
Hey Product Hunt!
Excited to share with you our goal for Indy and the future of independent work!
Indy was born when we experienced first-hand the need for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and independent workers to have a better way of balancing all the extra responsibilities that come with the territory. You have to be your own project manager, administrative assistant, and legal team. It only complicates the journey when you have to use multiple services to manage everything.
And to add to these challenges, freelancers are hit with more expenses than the traditional employee: Self-employment taxes, zero benefits, and no health insurance. It can feel like all of your hard-earned money is being stripped away at every corner. Freelancers have a lot of costs to deal with, but the tools they use shouldn’t have to be one of them. That’s why we made Indy’s core tools free forever, so that independent workers have access to everything they need to grow their businesses.
✅Forms to generate more leads ✅Proposals to pitch clients ✅Contracts to protect your business ✅Tasks to manage projects with to-do lists and kanban boards ✅Files to store everything in one place ✅Time Tracker to monitor your time ✅Invoices to get paid faster ✅Calendar to keep track of everything that’s in motion
With these tools, independent workers can be empowered to fully manage their businesses and restore order to the chaos that comes with working solo. But equipping independent workers with the right tools is only part of the solution to creating a better future for remote workers everywhere. We created Indy University to provide the education workers need to avoid the common pitfalls that cause 50% of freelancers to fail in their first year. We also have the Indy Community, which fosters a place for creatives to find new collaborators and grow their network.
Indy aims to be a home for independent thinkers who dream of the freedom that comes with an independent way of working, but have only felt exhaustion along the way.
We’d love to hear your thoughts about Indy!
